After a challenging year of quarantines and the search for vaccinations, Cape May Stage is the destination for laughter – medically proven to lower one’s blood pressure.

In order to provide our patrons and staff the safest and most enjoyable experience possible, Social Distancing procedures will be in effect until further notice. Policies will continue to evolve as directed by local and federal government regulations.

We thank you in advance for helping to make our return to the stage a smooth transition!

Cape May Stage is committed to following the safety standards and protocols set forth by the state and local government along with Equity, the Actor’s Union. Accordingly, these guidelines might change and need to be updated as these governing bodies update and change their regulations.

Please be Aware:
  • Mask Requirement: Masks must be worn at all times during performances. Guests are required to wear a face mask at all times while in the lobby, auditoriums, walk-ways and restrooms. This includes face shields with masks or appropriate nose and mouth coverings (i.e. gaiters). We will provide masks to guests who arrive at the theatre without one.
  • Temperature checks may be required for admittance
  • We will do our best to accommodate selected seats, but due to social distancing requirements seating may need to be adjusted at the staffs’ discretion to accommodate proper social distancing. If you require specific seating due to health reasons please contact the box office or after under memo section so box office will be aware. Also please note that not all seating arrangements will be able to be accommodated. Ticket sales are on a few come first serve base.
  • Seating will be limited to 50 patrons per performance. All seating will be assigned. Tickets purchased together will be seated together. There will be at least six feet between each group of seats. Patrons are asked to purchase tickets for different households separately.

  • All patrons must wear masks. Anyone refusing to wear a mask will be asked to leave.

  • If a patron feels ill within 24 hours of the performance they plan to attend, tickets for their entire group will be exchanged for a different performance. Please contact box office for exchange. 

  • Hand sanitizer will be available in multiple locations through the theatre. 

  • Electronic programs will be available for viewing on smart phones and tablets.

  • Currently there will be no Hard copies of Show-Bill available. 

  • Patrons are asked to leave the building immediately after the production is over and avoid congregating in courtyard.

  • Patrons are asked to congratulate the cast and crew virtually after the production. Currently there will be no meet or greets with cast or crew. 

  • Preview Night and Opening Weekend are currently only available if Patrons purchased 2020 Preview Night and Opening Night Packages. Passwords will be sent to patrons.

Barney Cashman is a successful restaurant owner and family man who, after 22 years of marriage, decides it’s high time for him to have an affair. Taking advantage of his mother’s empty apartment, he attempts to lure various women over for sex, but his efforts prove more than a little bumbling. A hard-living type openly derides him, a young actress proves too insane and his best friend’s wife is offended by the very idea.
